Bis zum Ellenbogen plot
Achim and Willi, two disparate characters, cross paths in the Swiss Alps during a serious accident. Before the two ruffs get into each other's hair, a third person manages to prevent this. This third person is Sven, a pacifist banker who invites them to rest and tend their wounds in his vacation home. He manages to bring the two enemies together during several days of wine and cheese. During these days, Sven tells his life story and confesses that he has embezzled a lot of money and wants to spend his life forever on the Wadden island of Sylt near the Danish border. When Sven is killed in a stupid house accident, Achim and Willi decide to take the body to Sylt, crisscrossing Germany. But it's not as easy as they thought.
