Becoming Dick plot

Richard Breggs is not yet the successful actor he wanted to be. He lives in an apartment with his girlfriend. A friend convinces him that he is way too friendly and that he needs to be a bit more of an asshole to make it and he tries. Then one day he wakes up in a big house, he can't believe his eyes. It is now suddenly four years later and he turns out to be a famous TV star. Still, in those four years that he can't remember at all, things have gone wrong and he has to get his private life back on track.
