Baratin plot

Roger, nicknamed Baratin, is a street vendor in the Montmartre district. One day, his friend François proposes a good thing to him: he thinks he has discovered an oil well and asks Roger to help exploit the site where the oil is located. But this requires large financial resources. Roger manages to borrow the money from four women but loses everything at the roulette. Afterwards it turns out that there is no petroleum in that soil at all. And the four ladies who have lost their money react very dissatisfied.
