Azyllo Muito Louco plot
In the nineteenth century, Brazilian priest Simão Bacamarte arrives in a coastal town in Brazil and builds a madhouse. He soon puts the majority of the population in an asylum to "cure them from their madness and sins" in order to fulfill his Utopia. The large landowners now have no workers to work the land and offer to take over their place in the 'rest home'.
