Austreten plot
At a press conference, Bavarian Prime Minister Reitmayer unequivocally expressed the possibility of leaving Bavaria in the Federal Republic of Germany, thus sparking a discussion of unprecedented proportions in the press and media. Reitmayer's excitement that follows his words quickly becomes too much for him, so he withdraws from public life and flees to a remote area in the Bavarian country. His children Kathi and Martl go in search of him. Not only do they learn a lot about their family, but also about native Bavaria and the different regions.
