Twenty-year-old New Yorker Barb Schwartz somehow finds herself in a life she hates. She has a job as a lawyer that she detests, a drab studio apartment on Roosevelt Island, and an arrogant family that never lets her forget she's still single. When she reunites with her childhood best friend, ballet dancer Billy, she is inspired by him to start over with her first love: comedy.
