Along Came Youth plot
Larry Brooks, a young American athlete, ends up in London where he accidentally meets Elinor Farrington, a daughter of an aristocratic but poor family. The two fall in love and Larry finds work as a cook in a country house owned by wealthy South American Cortès. Larry discovers that Elinor's family lives nearby and makes an unannounced visit. Once there, Lady Prunella - Elinor's mother - thinks he is a con man and sends him away. Cortès leaves the area for a while and Larry's cooking, mainly prepared by kitchen helpers, is appreciated by the lady of the house. Upon his return, the master of the house is less charmed and accuses Larry of being an impostor.
