Alias a Gentleman plot
"Wally's new picture is a Wow!"
Jim Breedin is nearing the end of his ten-year prison term, during which time he has been studying how to stay on the right path and become a true gentleman. His former partner doesn't trust him and thinks Breedin is hiding something from him. He therefore hires an actress to pose as Breedin's daughter. Breedin becomes very fond of her, but she eventually confesses to the deception. Then she and her fiancé are kidnapped by accomplices of his ex-partner and Breedin withdraws all his savings from the bank to pay the ransom. However, this action is the planned signal for a couple of criminals to rob the bank and Breedin is arrested again because he is suspected of complicity.
