Remake of the 1986 film of the same name, but in the African American way (the original is briefly honored when the Dannie/Debbie couple sees that film passing by on TV). I wasn't bored with the new version, but the first one worked a little better in some respects. More emotion and feeling plus a beautiful image of the time, while the Pink Decorates bet more on the generous laugh and is therefore less serious and funnier, but unfortunately that is not necessarily better. The original is often followed literally take after take, so it could have been a bit more inventive. This new one is actually saved by the energetic duo Hart/Hall who put a lot of power into their performance, which contrasts quite a bit with the somewhat boring couple Early/Bryant, two actors who can be beautiful and otherwise have little to offer. This film is sufficient as a stepping stone to a fun evening, but the quality could have been better. i

Reasonable film about two couples in Los Angeles who learn what love means. A film about relationships with a brisk pace, especially during the first half. Of course, some cliches cannot be avoided, but some dialogues are quite sharp. The four main characters are well portrayed and the fine cast certainly contributes to this.

The remake of About Last Night.... The original version makes a brief cameo in this remake. This in combination with the film No Good Deed. A reference is also made to the play "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" by David Mamet from 1974.

Michael Ealy, then 40, plays the role of Danny. Ealy lost more than 20 pounds to make his character appear younger. After Think like a Man he plays again with Kevin Hart and Regina Hall. Both films feature songs by John Legend and Bruno Mars.

A reasonable remake that focuses more on humor. Particularly the moments between Kevin Hart and Regina Hall. The chemistry between Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant is mediocre. In that respect, my preference goes more to Rob Lowe and Demi Moore. If you are looking for a romantic drama film with deep emotions, watch the original version. This remake focuses more on the humorous aspects.

2.5 *
