Yeokdosan plot
September 1950. Sumo wrestlers and union officials are chased by a man brandishing a chair. The man is Rikidozan, a third-degree sumo wrestler. He is furious, because he has just been told that only Japanese-born sumo wrestlers can belong to the first degree. Rikidozan is forced to cut off his sumo tail and leave the ring once and for all. His life lapses into excessive drinking and various quarrels. Until he gets the opportunity to become a professional wrestler.
