Chuck Wepner entered the ring on March 24, 1974 as a punching bag for Muhammad Ali. To everyone's surprise, the concrete-jawed street fighter held his own until his technical knockout in the fifteenth round. Ali also hit the canvas once halfway through this fight. Wepner, aka 'The Bayonne Bleeder', was a bread boxer who inspired the then-unknown actor Sylvester Stallone in 1976 to make the famous film Rocky. However, his life was not a bed of roses.
