Die Unheimliche Leichtigkeit der Revolution plot
19-year-old Franka Blankenstein grows up in the GDR as the child of law-abiding parents. She happens to meet Stefan Clausnitz and thus finds her way to a group of environmental activists who oppose the pollution of nature and the air pollution in their area. Franka is fascinated by the cohesion of the group, who live together in an old demolition building. There they plan actions and have lively discussions, but they also live, party and love, under constant surveillance by the Stasi. When the group dares to protest in public, their movement becomes political, and that means risking their freedom.
