The makers of South Park are contractually hitting back with a new special. The deal of no less than 900 million dollars states that Trey Parker and Matt Stone must direct two of these types of films every year (in addition to seasons 27 to 30), of which Joining the Panderverse will be number 1 in 2023. Where the previous two films were mainly entertainment, this time the duo hits back seriously with a more than relevant episode that focuses on themes such as woke, Disney and the economy. Now not everything is successful, for example the plot with Randy Marsh and the handymen is mainly comic filler with little added value. Ultimately, Cartman and Kyle are the absolute show stealers with whom Parker & Stone work in a surprisingly nuanced way. Although this is not the comedy duo's funniest work overall, it is one of the sharpest episodes they have made in a while. By the way, it is indeed nice that the chatter surrounding Tegridy Weed has finally gotten a break. Keep it like that.
