Mononoke-Hime
Awesome. With Mononoke-Hime, Miyazaki has made an inventive, original and imaginative animation film with a socially critical (ecological) message. I am a fan of this kind of animation, and the attention to detail is unparalleled and stunning.
The story is also intriguing, and especially when Ashitaka gets caught up in the war between the forest gods and the inhabitants of Tatara, and Princess Mononoke and the wolves are introduced, the story really comes alive. The playing time is long and especially towards the end it goes on a bit too long, but that's only a minor flaw. Mononoke-Hime is pure movie magic.
