Kidnapped plot

David Balfour is kidnapped to prevent him from claiming his ancestors' Scottish estate. He saves the life of Alan Breck Stewart, a Jacobite wanted by the British army. Although they are on different sides of the political spectrum, a strong bond develops between the two.
