Kayara plot
Kayara, a beautiful and athletic 16-year-old, is destined to be the first woman to break into the exclusive class of Inca messengers (Chasquis). When she is given her first chance to compete in the Messenger Race for the Inca emperor, she disguises herself as a man. When her true identity is revealed and she is about to be punished, the young Prince Paullu applauds her. She succeeds in every quest to be a Chasqui and discovers the ancient stories of her land and people.
