Twelve-year-old Travis Barclay and his little sister Whitney are reluctantly sent on a summer vacation to visit grandparents in Delbert County. A miserly property developer, Norm Blandsford, tries to buy up the small town there. In the meantime, he uses it to hunt down the hard-working inhabitants of their country. Travis encounters the magical Paul Bunyan after colliding with one of Norm's men.
