Windjammer plot

"Mighty Adventure . . . Glorious Romance !"

By order of the Senate, Bruce Lane must subpoena Commodore Russell P. Selby for an investigation or he will lose his job. Bruce poses as a playboy and he boards Selby's yacht during a yacht race. However, the yacht is destroyed by a windjammer carrying gun smugglers led by Captain Morgan. The entire crew of the yacht is picked up by the windjammer, including Selby's daughter Betty, and put to work as galley slaves, among other things.
