Uncivilised plot

A white writer sets out in search of a good story in the Australian wasteland. Then she is kidnapped by an Afghan trader and resold to Mara, nicknamed 'The White King'. She then has to deal with a rival, an evil magician and his son who turns out to be a deranged killer, as well as opium smugglers.
