Una Spada per l'Impero plot

190 AD. Consul Marco returns to Rome with his beloved slave girl, Nissia. He has completed an excursion into a far corner of the Empire. Nissia is kidnapped by Emperor Commodo, but Marco frees her and hides her in the catacombs. Returning to Rome after a short absence, he finds that the city is being terrorized by the Emperor's orders with a brutal persecution against the Christians. It comes to a long and violent conflict with Commodo and his supporters. Nissia's life is in danger again...
