At the start of the war in 1812, Captain James Marshall is ordered to initiate the British blockade. As a first mate, he hires Ben Waldridge, a former captain of the British Navy. Waldridge takes his former crew with him, but they plan a mutiny when they learn that there is gold on board. And then an old sweetheart of Waldridge shows up, who also turns out to be very fond of gold. Which side is he actually on?
