Maya Tskhneteli plot
This film tells the true story of the legendary war heroine Maya Tskneteli who lived in Georgia in the 17th century. As a young peasant woman, Maya is harassed by a prince and she kills him when he tries to rape her. Maya then flees from her village and disguises herself as a man and enlists in the army. Under the name Mate, she becomes a famous military leader, while no one knows that Mate is actually a woman.
