Captain Leyton gives his son Boy a Spartan upbringing to toughen him up. When Boy comes to the rescue of his girlfriend Minnie, he is so pleased with his son's courage that he has a heart attack. Just before he dies, he orders Boy to avenge his mother's infidelity.
