Horse owner Don Fernando and his sons Luciano and Esteban like to sing and drink. Every now and then a fight breaks out and a saloon is smashed to pieces. But then Luciano goes on a hunt for a great black horse, only to be found dead and horribly mutilated in a ravine not much later. Don Fernando is about to die of grief and asks the devil if he can have his son back. Not much later, Luciano returns. But he's not the happy boy he used to be...
