Devil's Dice plot

Larry Bannon is winning at a gambling house. This results in a fight and he is forced to kill a man in self-defense. Judge Casper Paine sends Bannon to prison. When he is released, Bannon vows revenge and hunts down Paine, who has retired due to illness and bought a mine. Bannon gains the trust of Paine and his beautiful daughter, Helen, and along the way discovers that Oberfield, the mine superintendent, is plotting to gain ownership of the mine.
