Dancing Pirate plot

"The first dancing musical in 100% new Technicolor"

It is the twenties of the nineteenth century. Dance teacher Jonathan Pride is forced by pirates to be a slave on his own ship. He manages to escape on the California coast, then a Spanish colony, with his umbrella and music box as his only possessions. A shepherd mistakes him for a pirate and warns the nearest town. Jonathan is sentenced to death for this. When the mayor's daughter learns of Jonathan's dancing skills, his execution is postponed until he teaches the women of the town the waltz.
