Nice genre flick.

Eubank makes no bones about it. No empty introductions of characters or obligatory backstory, the film puts on the gas after a few minutes. What follows is a nice straight-to-the-point genre film that manages to increase the tension every now and then. Camera work is very effective and I like the setting. The flying metal, ship parts that keep on exploding, the dark, murky waters. The staging single-handedly ensures that this is a pretty intense film at times.

Slight setback were the creatures themselves. That Lovecraft-esque final monster was impressive, but the other creatures came across as somewhat uninspired Alien rejects. The tension also has to diminish somewhat towards the end, but that was otherwise within the line of expectation. Furthermore, very worthwhile. 3.5*.

What do we call this? A Ripley off.

Take a tough chick, give her a short haircut and let her run around in underwear a lot.

And it is precisely because it has been stolen so badly that you start to compare it with Alien, and this stands out so starkly...

This is a wonderful thriller! A race against time full of claustrophobia. You are immediately sucked into the movie and Kristen Stewart is back in shape! In itself, the film does not do much new, it must mainly have scare moments and suggestion. But that does it really well. I do like the genre and this movie deserves more than the current score!.
