"TWO PALS BATTLE FOR THE HEAVYWEIGHT CROWN!"
During a street fight, young Rush Conway stands out to prize fighter Gunner Malone. Gunner sees a promising boxer in Rush and starts training him. Things get complicated for Gunner when Rush falls in love with his sister Mary Malone. Things get even more complicated for both Gunner and Rush when a draw reveals that they have to compete against each other. Rush finds it difficult to fight his mentor because he is now engaged to his sister Mary. Gunner therefore enlists the help of a sports psychologist to try to persuade Rush.
