The Good Things Devils Do plot
"Breaking in was easy... breaking out is going to be hell."
Richard is a criminal who is retiring. Before he can dream of days off, however, he has one last job to do: steal money from a rival's house. Reluctant family man Melvin dreams of becoming a famous curator for a creepy museum. His latest acquisition is the remains of the infamous Masquerade, a vampire killed eons ago. During Halloween, Richard and Melvin will cross paths and will be forced to team up to fight an ancient evil.

Director Jess Norvisgaard pays tribute to the older, more classic horror films that, back then, needed little more than an idea and plenty of atmosphere. Unfortunately, the budget for the latter isn't there, but there's some dedication to the set design, and the vampire, in particular, looks remarkably good. It's a shame that the main characters don't really engage, and Norvisgaard barely manages to build any suspense. When the situation escalates, it becomes somewhat dull. The dramatic angles then slow the pace even further and don't add much. So, the potential is there, but the execution leaves much to be desired.
