Liquid Bridge plot

Nick McCallum dreams of becoming a professional surfer with his friend and mentor Dane Sanders. Nick has talent, but he's stuck with a hopeless job as a mechanic in his father's dilapidated garage. Since his father is in a wheelchair after a serious surfing accident, he does everything he can to discourage Nick. Two obstacles stand in the way of Nick's thirst for success and money - his father and his own fear of surfing towering waves. This last fear is only heightened by his father's tragic accident. Nick decides to ignore his overprotective father's advice and opts for a professional surfing career. When it turns out that Nick's surf manager is using him to smuggle drugs behind his back during his many trips around the world, Nick's dream suddenly turns into a nightmare.
