Le Complot plot
French police are trying to thwart a plot that would require an OAS general to take power in Paris and stage a coup d'état in Algeria. Action by the police, secret agents, ultra-rights and OAS is confusingly mixed, so that the commissioner has to take initiatives on his own initiative.
