Is That Nice? plot

Ralph Tanner, a young reporter at the Morning Standard, writes a highly slanderous story about John Gorman, the city's political boss. Wilbert, the publisher, and Dyke, the editor-in-chief, are very pleased with the story, until they discover that Tanner has no evidence to back up his claims. Tanner, aided and/or hindered by a mysterious girl, Doris Leslie, and a sturdy stenographer from the newspaper, Winnie Nash, and her even sturdier boyfriend, Bill Schultz, sets out in search of evidence.
