A decent action thriller. The story is put together quite well. The execution is somewhat inconsistent, but overall just barely adequate. The first hour is quite a struggle to get through. That part is slow, and simply too little happens to be truly engaging. They also use time jumps, which essentially takes the film's coherence. The second part is much more engaging, and the pace picks up nicely. There is also significantly more suspense and action. The action scenes look good, but are not very spectacular. The ending is quite suspenseful and visually well-shot. 3.0/3.5

A long-winded action drama with a particularly far-fetched plot, in which South and North Korean secret agents clash with each other and the Russian mafia in Vladivostok, of all places. After a decent action scene at the beginning, the plot quickly gets bogged down in not particularly interesting melodramatic situations. Towards the end, there is indeed quite a bit of action, but it is of the monotonous and not exactly exciting visual style. The vague title of the film (HUMan INTelligence) actually says it all.

A South Korean agent [Zo In-sung] gets the chance in Vladivostok to settle the score with a human trafficker [Park Jeong-min] who slipped through his fingers years ago. He receives help from an informant [Shin Sae-kyeong]. A routine scenario about an unoriginal subject is spiced up with spectacular action scenes, but the irritating bass guitar, which is supposed to pass for a score, can drive you crazy.
