Arthur and Martha Goode make a neat couple, who lead a quiet life. They like to garden and have a lot of contact with their friends. When the two are faced with a pension crisis, they are forced to turn to the criminal path to make ends meet. They decide to rob a number of banks and travel across the country with a caravan. A trail of misery is left behind.
