Fortress in the Sun plot

Maria is an idealistic and independent woman who returns to her father's hacienda after studying in America. Her father is a ruthless landowner who exhausts and beats his workers. She rebels against her father by extending a hand to the workers. She teaches the children and cares for the sick. When she falls in love with one of the farm workers, she faces a dilemma.
