El Señor Manolo plot

Miguel and his father run a tobacconist in an old neighborhood of Madrid. The older man misses the time when Francisco Franco was in power and is frustrated because he wanted to work in a toy store as a child. Miguel's mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease, which causes him to enter a drug smuggling network behind his father's back in order to pay for a good home. When something goes wrong, Miguel is kidnapped by the traders. Horrified, Miguel's father eats a drug-filled omelette prepared by his wife. Drugged and immersed in a world of hallucinations, armed with a shotgun, he and his wife take to the streets in search of their missing son.
