One of the more enjoyable vampire movies in my opinion. It starts off as a bit of a run-of-the-mill cat-and-mouse affair, but gradually the film becomes more enjoyable, ultimately culminating in a delightfully eccentric climax. It might all feel a bit haphazard, but Trashorras delivers it with such enthusiasm that it's hardly a problem.

Visually, there's a lot going on. Atmospheric lighting, explicit use of color, plenty of visual fiddling, hectic when necessary, and even a touch experimental at times. Some might find it a bit much, but I thoroughly enjoy it. It makes for a lively film that, at 76 minutes, rushes by. The best genre work. A delightfully uninhibited horror film in a stylish package. 3.5*

Ana de Armas is a nice girl; I knew her from other roles (Blade Runner). And it's also nice how they punish her slight snootiness in the film. A strange twist all of a sudden, but it works.
