Devlin plot

One of the candidates for mayor of New York is shot and Inspector Frank Devlin is determined to investigate the case himself. Devlin and the victim's father are mortal enemies, and as the investigation progresses, everything points to him being the culprit. But then Devlin suddenly becomes a suspect in the case himself.
