Blücher plot

Norwegian guns sank the German battleship Blücher in the fjord off Oslo on April 9, 1940 during the Nazi invasion. Some time later, when two adventurous divers investigate and retrieve various documents from the wreckage, it turns out that some high-ranking Norwegian officials were traitors.

Blucher (1988).

A film I stumbled upon by accident while searching for information about Blucher (2025). Aside from the name and a small supporting role for the ship, the films have virtually nothing in common; this is a somewhat stereotypical 80s TV movie that combines all the usual wreck diving clichés—well, except for that shark—with a conspiracy of evil Germans and Norwegian traitors. Quite entertaining and well-paced, but also a bit of a fairy tale—searching a 200-meter-long ship upside down on the seabed with a maximum dive time of 7 minutes, and right on your first dive? Yeah, right. Still, there are definitely worse works in the genre.
