"Whenever the cane turned up, someone turns up dead."
Private detective Stone deals with the case of a missing walking stick that belonged to a deceased movie star. He discovers that this stick is related to a series of murders. His investigation leads him to a porn movie set and a religious cult. In addition, Stone has a difficult and tense relationship with a young, bisexual woman, which causes the necessary problems.
