Betrayal plot

"A deadly game of wits."

Jayne Ferré, a ruthless killer in the service of the mafia, is getting too hot underfoot in Los Angeles. She is on the run with a briefcase containing a million dollars in blood money, stolen from mob boss Frank Bianco. Sixteen-year-old Kerry is on the run from a drug dealer bent on revenge. His mother Emily wants to take him to Texas to start a new life, but she doesn't have enough money for the trip. Meanwhile, the mafia wants to have Jayne killed, and at the station she is forced to take out one of her possible murderers. She offers to reimburse Emily for all her expenses if she is allowed to drive to San Antonio.
