A Viszkis plot
Attila Ambrus was a legendary Hungarian bank robber in the 1990s. He grew up in Ceaușescu's Romania. The hopeless situation there caused him to cross the border in search of a better future. But even as an adult, the troubles of his childhood continue to haunt him, only now in Hungary. He soon finds out that you only count if you have money and realizes that he needs money, a lot of money. Soon he is known as the Whiskey Bandit. He never wanted to be a hero but the media turned him into a hero. His fame peaked when he escaped from prison and the whole country adored him.

The first review for this film apparently

Excellent film that tells the life story of an (un)fortunate Hungarian. The conversations in the interview scenes with the police inspector provide some balance and depth to the action.
After seeing Kontroll I became curious about more work by Nimrod. I found Kontroll a bit more surprising because of its surreal elements, which would not fit the true story of A Viszkis.
