In November of 2020, Ryan Reynolds and fellow Hollywood star Rob McElhenney of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame purchased football club Wrexham, who at that time were playing out with the professional football league.
The pair have turned the club around and put them on the map around the world after taking over. Their takeover and the subsequent plight of Wrexham to finally make it back into the Football League was detailed in the documentary, Welcome to Wrexham.
Reynolds and McElhenney were acquaintances and not close friends before the partnership, but it appears they are now besties, as highlighted by Reynolds' hilarious birthday message to his Wrexham partner.
McElhenney turned 46 on 14th April, and Reynolds posted a guide on how to pronounce his name...
