Quentin Tarantino has reiterated his desire to retire from filmmaking after his next movie project.
The popular director has helmed nine movies so far - Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill: Volume 1, Kill Bill: Volume 2, Death Proof, Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
He wrote and directed Deathproof, too, but that was under the banner of Grindhouse which included Planet Terror.
Tarantino has previously claimed that his 10th movie will be his last, and he provided more explanation for his choice to CNN.
"I've been doing it for a long time; I've been doing it for 30 years. And it's time to wrap up the show. I'm an entertainer. I want to leave you wanting more," he said.
"I don't want to become this old man who's out of touch when, already, I'm feeling a bit like an old man out of touch when it comes to the current movies that are out right now.
"And that's what happens — that's exactly what happens."
What will Tarantino's last film be about?
Tarantino revealed last week that his next project will actually be an eight-part television series which will delay his retirement slightly.
As for what his 10th and final movie will be, he hasn't decided.
"No, I don't, at all, 'cause I'm also not in a giant hurry to make my last movie," he responded when asked what the 10th might look like.
"Right now, I don't even know what a movie is — is that something that plays on Netflix? Is that something that plays on Amazon and people watch it on their couch with their wife or their husband? Is that a movie?
"'Cause my last movie opened up in 3,000 theaters and played all over the world for a couple of months."
