With rumours circling that Britney Spears' memoir might be adapted into a movie, it's worth noting that Millie Bobby Brown once expressed an interest in playing the pop superstar.
Brown is most famous for portraying Eleven in Netflix's juggernaut series, Stranger Things, though she has also appeared in two Enola Holmes movies, playing the younger sister of sleuth Sherlock Holmes.
Spears continues to be in the public eye more for her personal life than music, though she does have a fierce following of fans and is responsible for some of the biggest hits of the 1990s and 2000s. She recently released her memoir, The Woman in Me.
Speaking on Drew Barrymore's podcast, Brown previously explained how Spears' life mirrors her own as they both hit fame at a very young age.
When asked by Barrymore what future projects she would like to undertake, Brown said she wants to play a "real person" before mentioning Britney.
“I think her story resonates with me,” she explained.
“Just growing up, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger - I see the scramble for words and I don’t know her, but when I look up pictures of her I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”
A Britney Spears biopic?
According to Deadline, Spears' memoir might be made into a book or television series. However, she previously expressed frustration about the idea being pitched while she was still alive.
“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life,” she wrote on Instagram. “Dude I’m not dead!!! Although it’s pretty f*****g clear they preferred me dead.”
