John Boyega has suggested he is done with Star Wars after appearing in all three movies of the sequel trilogy.
In April of 2014, Boyega was confirmed as one of the new stars of the trilogy, and he would go on to play the character of Finn in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker.
During production on all three movies, Boyega was targeted with racist abuse from faceless online trolls.
He has spoken previously about how disappointed it was that Disney kept quiet with a lack of support during that time.
Boyega has, however, taken solace from the fact that Disney supported Obi-Wan Kenobi star Moses Ingram after she suffered similar abuse from so-called fans.
"That's how it goes, man. That's how it goes, but that's the peace that I felt. Moses Ingram being protected makes me feel protected. Do you understand what I'm saying?" he said on Sirius XM radio.
"It makes me feel like, okay, cool. I am not the elephant in the room because when I started it, wasn't really a conversation you could bring up.
"You know how they went through it. It was kind of like, let's just be silent. It wasn't a conversation you could bring up."
As for a potential return to Star Wars, Boyega played down the chances.
"At this point I'm cool off it. I'm good off it…and I think, I think Finn is at a good confirmation point where you can just enjoy him in other things, the games, the animation.
"But I feel like, yeah, seven to nine was good for me."
No Marvel for Boyega either
Earlier this year, speculation gathered online that Boyega had held talks with Marvel about joining the MCU.
But, he says joining that franchise isn't in his current plans.
“That’s not in the vision for me now,” he told Men's Health.
“I want to do nuanced things. . . . I want to donate my services to original indie films that come with new, fresh ideas, because I know it’s real hard to top Iron Man in that universe.”
