Lea Seydoux has suggested she would be open to returning to the James Bond franchise.
The French actress was first introduced as the character of Madelene Swan in Spectre, featuring as the love interest of Daniel Craig's Bond. She would return to the role again in No Time to Die, when it is revealed that Madelene actually gave birth to Bond's daughter.
At the conclusion of No Time to Die, Bond dies after saving his family. It was the first time in the history of the franchise that the character has passed away on-screen.
Even though Craig will not return, Seydoux says she might if asked.
"After all I'm not dead. It was James who died, not Madelene. So, who knows? Maybe I'll be back," she told Deadline.
"This is like fake news, right? But if we're serious for a moment, Madeleine drives away with her daughter right at the end because James has saved them.
"There'll be a new Bond because Daniel's Bond died but who's to say that Madeleine won't be back?"
Has Seydoux held talks over a return?
Seydoux did confirm that she has not yet held talks with franchise producer Barbara Broccolli and Michael G. Wilson about a return yet as they are busy trying to decide who will be the next Bond.
"I haven't spoken to Barbara about whether or not Madeleine would make an appearance in a future Bond film, a lot has to happen before that stage is reached," Seydoux revealed.
There are a number of names in the frame to be the next 007, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill and Rege-Jean Page.
