Gaten Matarazzo wants to see major characters killed off in Stranger Things series five.
Over the first four seasons, various beloved characters died including Billy Hargrove, Barbara Holland, Bob Newby and Eddie Munson.
However, the core group of Eleven, Mike, Will, Max, Dustin, Lucas, Steve, Jim, Nancy, Joyce and Jonathan have all survived.
And, Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, wants some of those characters to meet their death.
“It might sound messed up, but we should kill more people," he said at Orlando's MegaCon this week.
"This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment any of these kids can kick it. I feel like we’re all too safe.”
Interestingly, Matarazzo isn't the first Stranger Things star who has stated a desire for more death and carnage...
Maya Hawke wants to die in Stranger Things
Maya Hawke hopes her character meets a hero's end in the final season of Stranger Things.
Robin was introduced in the third series of the popular Netflix show and almost immediately became a beloved character among fans.
Hawke has developed into a main cast member alongside her fellow friends from Hawkins.
Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers, have fans on alert these days as it seems in every season at least one popular character is killed by one of the many creatures or monsters that haunt the town.
And, Hawke wants a similar fate for Robin in series five.
“I would love to die and get my hero’s moment,” she previously told Rolling Stone.
“I’d love to die with honour, as any actor would. But I love the way that the Duffer Brothers love their actors.
"The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don’t want to kill them. I think that’s a beautiful quality that they have, and I wouldn’t wish it away.”
