Ik heb Sunrise even weggelaten omdat dat officieel gezien geen winnaar is, maar als iemand hem toch in zijn/ haar lijstje kwijt wil maak ik daar geen bezwaar tegen. En ja, Casablanca is uit 1942, maar won door omstandigheden de Oscar pas in 1943.

Ik heb er veel van gezien. Vind het persoonlijk interressanter als het om de Buitenlandse Film categorie gaat.

OK, thanx, zoekfunctie werkt niet goed. Zoek maar eens op 'Tom Jones', 'Tom' of 'Jones'

EDIT: misschien heb ik zelf een foutje gemaakt, doet het nu wel weer...

Daar kunnen we eventueel later wel een topic over maken, maar ik heb nu even geen zin om dat lijstje op te zoeken.

Ik heb de films die ik gezien heb chronologisch gerangschikt gelaten, kun je mooi zien hoe ik denk over de evolutie van de 'beste' Amerikaanse films (één uitzondering daargelaten)

Een ding is zeker, ik heb nog te wijnig beste film oscarwinnaars gezien. Hier in het lijstje van de gevallen die ik wel heb gezien blijkt wel dat ik het vaak eens ben met de winnaar ( op enkele uitzonderingen na ). Zo blijkt toch een redelijk groot percentage van mijn 5* een beste film oscar te hebben gewonnen.

Naar aanleiding van de Oscar knock-out een nieuwe lijst gemaakt. Ik heb er intussen ook weer 15 bij gezien. Ik hoop ze eens allemaal gezien te hebben.

Gemiddeld 3,81, wat zeker niet slecht is. Het is vooral The Sound of Music die dwars ligt. Het valt wel op dat het vanaf de jaren '80 gemiddeld kwalitatief iets afnam.

Erg veel dat ik niet meer dan redelijk beoordeel. Zo blijken de oscarwinnaars geen betere selectie te zijn dan het willekeurig gemiddelde.

Films als Ben - Hur, Amadeus, Lawrence of Arabia en The Sound of Music wel eens wat van gezien, maar absoluut niet indrukwekkend.

Het is over het algemeen gewoon een lijst die garant staat voor voorspelbare Amerikaanse troep met een paar mooie films ertussen, al blijven de echte toppers vaak uit. Hoe kan een niet meer dan aardige film als Rain Man ( een tussendoortje ) nou een Oscar winnen? En dan heb ik het nog geen eens over Million Dollar Baby....Zo conservatief en onfris allemaal. Van filmverbreding hebben zij nooit gehoord. Alleen All About Eve, In the Heat of the Night, Midnight Cowboy, Rebecca en The Bridge on the River Kwai spreken mij wel aan. Verder verwacht ik louter onvoldoendes......

Edit: Opvallend trouwens dat mijn lijstje keurig symmetrisch is en een gemiddelde heeft van precies 2,5*. Dit ligt een fractie hoger dan mijn totaalgemiddelde van 2,33*.
