Waiting for August plot

We follow 15-year-old Georgiana Halmac who lives with her six younger siblings in a social housing block on the outskirts of the Romanian city of Bacau. While their mother earns a living in Italy for several months, Georgiana is unwittingly bombarded as the new head of the family. The responsibility and care for her brothers and sisters put an abrupt end to her own puberty.
